Carl
Owner
Carl began his hairdressing career at age 14 and quickly developed a passion for cutting and photographic work as well as a desire to branch out and launch his own salon. In 1990, at just aged 20, he opened Carl Hillwood Hair and Beauty in Fordingbridge. He soon realised that staff education is imperative in order to maintain the highest standards, quality and service to the clients in the salon.
Kate
Art Director
Kate, Carl’s sister has been at the salon since the launch in 1990.
She is an absolute perfectionist in all areas of our trade with a particular strength in cutting and bouncy blow dry’s.
Abbey
Art Director
Abbey has been with us since 2009. Initially for work experience at the age of 14, and has been here ever since. She worked her way up through the ranks to become a very talented stylist and technician. Abbey’s gents work is second to none. She favours doing balayage and gents cuts.
Emily
Style Director
Emily came to us in 2017 with a previous 5 years experience. She started her career as a Saturday girl and progressed from there. She specialises in hair up, all areas of technical services and creative cutting. Her favourite things to do are balayage and graduated bobs.
Megan
Style Director
Megan joined us in 2017 as our apprentice and qualified in record time. She has a proven natural flare for all areas of hairdressing, showing a real strength in cutting and colouring. Her favourite thing to do is creative colouring.
Millie
Principal Stylist
Millie’s career started at the age of 14, showing a natural flair for this industry whilst still at school. She has a particular passion for cutting, styling and alternative colouring.
Lisa
New Talent
Lisa is our newly qualified young stylist. She is already showing a real talent in all areas of hairdressing.
Beth
Beauty Therapist
Beth has been a beauty therapist since 2012, providing services in well know beauty salons along the south coast. She has a wealth of skincare knowledge and uses organic skincare products, along with CND shellac for gel manicures. A variety of high end beauty treatments are available with her in the salon.
